Virus Firewall
All of our email servers at Siteomatic are protected by one
of the best real-time virus engines on the market. This means
all mail coming and going will be examined and if any attachments
are found to be of a viral nature then that message will be
discarded. A notice is then sent to the individual or system
administrator responsible. We don't play around with our email.
Neither should you.
E-mail Accounts
Each of our hosting packages comes with unlimited POP3 e-mail
accounts in addition to e-mail forwards and aliases. You have
the option to retrieve e-mail directly from POP3 mailboxes on
the mail server using an e-mail program such as Eudora, Outlook
or Outlook Express OR you can use our web-based e-mail client
and work with your e-mail from any computer with access to the
internet through a standard browser.
E-mail Aliases / Forwards
Using E-mail Aliases or forwarders gives you the ability to
receive e-mail at <anynamehere>@yourdomain.com. Specific
e-mail addresses that you want to forward out of your domain
to another e-mail account can be accomplished through the control
panel or by editing your .redirect file within your /home directory.
The best part about using aliases or forwards is that the person
emailing you never knows the mail is being redirected.
E-mail Autoresponders
An autoresponder is a predetermined message with information
you want automatically sent to anyone who e-mails a designated
e-mail address/mailbox at your domain.
Mail Lists
You can create multiple mail lists based on your customer's
interests. You provide customers with an e-mail address that
they can send an e-mail to and be added to your personalized
mailing list. As soon as customers sign on they are sent a welcome
message that you must customize. This is a great way to cost
effectively communicate with your customers through monthly
newsletters, sales updates or just a friendly hello.
Personal SMTP Server
Each domain hosted by Siteomatic has a personal SMTP mail server.
This mail server enables you to send mail out through your domain
at mail.yourdomain.com
Web E-Mail
Lets you view, delete and manage all of your e-mail accounts
through the convenience of your web browser. Work your e-mail
from any computer connected to the net!
